A. Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood
of Steel is a squad-based, third person tactical combat game with
RPG character development and a mission-based storyline.

A. Fallout Tactics is shipping
now! Order it at the
Interplay Store!

Q. Is it Fallout 3?
A. No, Fallout Tactics is not
designed to be a sequel to the award-winning RPG line. It is a
stand-alone title. Fallout 3 is a separate title that Interplay may
develop in the future.

Q. When is it set?
A. Fallout Tactics takes place
between the events of Fallout 1 and Fallout 2.

Q. Where is it set?
A. Fallout Tactics takes place in
Middle America, ranging from Chicago to Denver.

Q. What are the environments
like?
A. Middle America was not spared by
the nuclear exchange. Expect to see desert wastelands, ruined cities,
mountain passes, post-war dwellings, underground caverns passages and
more.

Q. Will it retain its mature
rating?
A. Yes, Fallout Tactics is rated M
by the ESRB. It contains the same adult themes as Fallout 1 and Fallout
2.

Q. Will there be 3D hardware
accelerator support?
A. Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of
Steel will be enhanced by most major hardware accelerator cards that
support DirectX 7, however FOT is a 2D sprite based game.

Q. Is there a demo?
A. There are two demos available, a
single-player demo and a multiplayer demo. The multiplayer demo has the
singleplayer missions and is more recent. We suggest you download that.

How many different attacks are there?
A. There
are several different types of attacks,
including Hand to Hand, Melee, Blade, Spear,
Thrown, Grenade, Pistol, Sub Machine Gun,
Rifle, Heavy Weapon, Min Gun, Rocket
Launcher and Mines.

What about setting traps?
A. The
Traps skill is used with certain types of
equipment to allow the player to place
traps.

Q.
Does the time of day affect gameplay?
A. The
time of day that the mission is undertaken
will determine the lighting level of each
environment. Darkness means lower chances to
perceive and hit your enemy.

Q.
Can I hide from my enemies?
A.
Fallout Tactics uses true line of sight.
This allows your character to hide behind
objects and increase their cover. The use of
the Sneak skill has been improved.

Q.
Are my characters able to duck?
A. All
the members of a squad can stand upright,
crouch down on one knee, or lie prone on the
ground. Each of these stances has its
benefits and drawbacks.

What sort of characters can I encounter?
A. Many
of the character types from Fallout 1 and 2
make an appearance, as well as several new
allies and enemies.
